A Beautiful World Premiere for Under the Western Skies
On a beautiful sunny day in Los Angeles, Under the Western Skies officially made its way into the world.
After years of dreaming, writing, filming, editing, planning, and believing in this story, we gathered in Burbank for the world premiere of our heartfelt western musical. The day could not have felt more special. We were blessed with good weather, good spirits, and truly wonderful company.
From the moment guests arrived, there was a feeling of excitement in the air. Boots, hats, turquoise, western dresses, and smiling faces filled the theater as friends, family, supporters, artists, and film lovers came together to celebrate this milestone with us.
A Warm Welcome at Wisteria Theater
We were so grateful to host the premiere at Wisteria Theater, where we were welcomed with open arms — and very much appreciated air conditioning.
Wisteria Theater gave our film the perfect home for such an intimate and meaningful first public screening. The space felt warm, creative, personal, and full of heart, which is exactly the kind of setting we hoped for when sharing this film for the first time.
We even got to make our own Under the Western Skies themed cocktail menu! A fun touch to an already celebratory day!
It meant so much to gather in a local, women-owned theater surrounded by people who understood the love, risk, and community it takes to bring an independent film to life.
A Crowd From Near and Far
One of the most moving parts of the day was seeing how far people traveled to be there.
Guests joined us from around the world and across the country — from Mexico to Spain, from Arizona to all over California. Some had followed the project from the beginning, some were friends and family of the cast and crew, and some were discovering the story for the first time.
The room was lively, generous, and full of energy. There were laughs, cheers, and that wonderful feeling of watching a story land with an audience in real time.
For an independent film, there is nothing more meaningful than seeing people show up, sit together, and share the experience of watching the movie on the big screen.
A Standing Ovation and a Song
When the film ended, the audience responded with a standing ovation — a moment we will never forget.
Afterward, lead actress, producer, and western music star Kristyn Harris gave an incredible live performance, premiering for the first time one of her new songs. Hearing her sing in the theater after watching her bring the story to life on screen made the afternoon feel even more magical.
Kristyn’s music has always been the heart of this film, and having her perform live at the world premiere was a beautiful reminder of why this story began in the first place: music, ranch life, western tradition, and the joy of bringing people together.

The world premiere was just the beginning.
Next stop: Arizona, where Under the Western Skies will be part of the Western Heritage and Film Festival. After that, we are heading to Texas for a special screening, with ticket details coming soon to our website.
